Fire Staff
A staff is a stick traditionally used in martial arts as a hand held weapon. In Fire Performance a 4-6ft (normally) aluminum pole with Kevlar wick at either end is used. The Performer holds the center of the staff 
in one hand and rapidly spins the staff around the body. Fire Staffs produces mesmerizing circular patterns of light similar to those made by Fire Poi.
Occasionally the performer may let go of the staff to perform a throw or allow the staff to roll over the body, 'contact staff' - 3rd Degree's contact staffer is Aubrey Dickason.
2 staffs can be used by placing one in each hand...collision avoidance is key here! 3rd Degree's double staffer is Calum Donald
