Fire Poi
Poi was originally practised by the maori people of New Zealand, to increase flexibility and strength. The word poi means ball in maori and that is exactly what they are, balls attatched to ropes which are held in the hands and swung in various circular patterns.
Modern Fire poi use balls of kevlar wick and chains not ropes theese are swung arround the body to make mesmorising circular patterns of light to similar to those made by fire staffs.
