Other Fire Arts
Fire arts are numerous, it seems every few months a new or variation of an existing art emerges onto the object and fire manipulation scene. 3rd degree performers are constantly practicing and trying out new ideas to keep our shows fresh and exciting. Below are a few of our less mainstream arts;
Whip
A fire whip is used in the same way as a bull whip to make large flames that engulf around the artist and that snap to make a flare of fire before going
back to spinning
Fire Diabolo
Diabolos evolved from the Chinese yo-yo which was originally standardized in the 12th century. Chinese yo-yos have a long thin axle, with disc-shaped wheels, while the western diabolo is more cone-shaped. Setting the Diabolo alight was the obvious next step!!
Spark Tricks
Spark tricks are done using a variety of techniques to produce a shower of sparks that initially fly powerfully from the performer and then fall gently to the ground. Spark tricks often lend the shows a magical feel.
